Hello! I’m Deborah and I am on a journey to a simpler life so that I have more time for creatively living it.
I am inspired by God’s beauty in nature and people. His truth is everywhere around us and I attempt to capture it through the lens of my camera and my brush on canvas.
I live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama with my spectacular hubby where we enjoy the beautiful beaches and waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
My love for photography arrived in the form of a digital camera in 2004 that I was able to use as part of my job at Western Kentucky University. When I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.A. in Visual Arts and a concentration in Graphic Design, I bought a camera with my graduation money and have been shooting ever since.

My inspiration comes from God’s beautiful handiwork that is evidenced in the natural world and in the faces of the familiar and not so familiar people all around me. Many of the photos come from my mission trips to Haiti—though a ravaged place, the people are beautiful in face and spirit. In fact, three of my photographs of the Haitian people have garnered first place awards in the U.S. Bank Art Show in past years.
I hope you enjoy my work and become inspired as you see God’s beauty and truth through my eyes.
Numbers 6: 24-25
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you
And be gracious to you;
The Lord turn His face toward you
And give you peace.”
Blessings,
Deborah Eaton
